There might be nothing more American than the Buffalo [technically, the Bison] hunt. The Buffalo hunt was a way of life for Native Americans and early American pioneers. Since few modern hunters have experienced the thrill and challenge of pursuing these large animals, Texas Bison hunting offers a rare opportunity to participate in an age-old human tradition. American Bison are the largest native land mammals in North America. Approaching a herd of these massive creatures can be intimidating and awe-inspiring. Growing to over 2,000 lbs., the Buffalos horns can range from 17 – 22”. Bison can be hunted year-round, but the winter months find the Buffalo with the best coat.
